Sunset over the waterfront at Ocracoke Village on Ocracoke Island. The lagoon pictured here is known as Silver Lake and is called "The Creek" by the locals. The island is part of North Carolina's Outer Banks and except for the village is completely within Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It is located along the Outer Banks Scenic Byway.
