Batson Creek Falls is the waterfall you can see from the viewing deck at Connestee Falls. In fact, there is a much better view of it from the deck than there is of Connestee Falls. Two more waterfalls are upstream, Middle Batson Creek Falls and Upper Batson Creek Falls. They are not visible from the Connestee Falls viewing deck. Both are much smaller than Batson Creek Falls.
Batson Creek flows through the Connestee Falls resort development. A network of impressive trails, built by volunteers, provides access to these waterfalls, as well as to the small waterfalls downstream from Connestee Falls on Carson Creek. There is also at least one other small waterfall on a nearby side stream to Carson Creek. Only the waterfalls on Batson Creek are named.
The development is gated. Only residents and their guests are allowed to hike the trails. Although the waterfalls are not open to the public, it’s nice to know that they are protected. If you ever have the opportunity to hike these trails with a resident, I highly recommend it.
Visit the Connestee Falls page for more information and photos of the small waterfalls on Carson Creek.
