Okay, Forest Road 475 has been open forever. I offer no excuses for not updating you long ago. But I do offer an apology.

Oops! I jumped the gun with the previous post. Rich Stevenson says he thinks Forest Road 475 is open only to the Cove Creek trailhead as you come from Gloucester Gap. That means you still can't drive to the trailheads for Cove Creek Falls and Toms Spring Falls from US 276. But at least you can get there the back way.

Forest Road 475 is now open. However, I understand that Daniel Ridge Loop Trail remains officially closed. This means you can't legally access Toms Spring Falls (page 232) or Waterfall on Right Fork (page 235) without going around the world.
