Elk Falls

Elk Falls has been open for quite a while.

Elk Falls

The Forest Service says that the trail to Elk Falls will open in fall of 2006. I have heard from others, however, that it is already open, although there may still be a lot of debris around. I plan to visit Elk Falls this fall, so I'll find out firsthand what the situation is.

Elk Falls

According to the Forest Service web site, the trail to Elk Falls (page 125) is closed due to hurricane damage. It is scheduled to reopen in spring of 2006.
