Waterfall on West Fork Pigeon River (*Sunburst Falls)

While doing historical photography research in the Blue Ridge Parkway photo archives, I came across a 1957 photo captioned Sunburst Falls. The waterfall is the one on page 297 listed as Waterfall on West Fork Pigeon River (#9). Until seeing this photo I had never heard of a name for this waterfall, although I've asked many local people. Sunburst Falls is a logical name. The old logging ghost town of Sunburst is a few miles downstream, now under the waters of Lake Logan.
