The most rewarding aspect of my career is sharing my passion through photo tours and presentations. I love to expose people to new places and techniques and see the excitement on their faces. Come along on an event. Experience my dedication and commitment to giving participants the photographic time of their life.
Listed below are the current workshops and photo tours that I have organized. It does not include speaking engagements or events organized by others. For a list of everything, please check out the Calendar.
2017 Events & Photo Tours
I’m very excited about next year’s events. Western North Carolina Foto Fest is coming back with a vengeance, much expanded, completely overhauled, and sporting a new name. Smoky Mountain Foto Fest is September 13-16. We’ll very likely be adding some pre-Foto Fest workshops and photo tours, some possibly beginning the weekend before.
I have two brand new events for next year. The Wicked Wild Waterfall Photography Weekend is May 19-21 in Brevard, North Carolina. Saturday consists of a variety programs about waterfalls and waterfall photography. Friday and Sunday features guided field trips to area waterfalls, including some that are not open to the general public.
The second new event is the Digital After Dark® Night Photography Summit, which will take place August 11-13 in Asheville. Night photographers from all over the country will speak on a wide range of topics. Vendors, field trips, and exhibitions will be a part of the Summit.
Finally, Donna Eaton and I will lead the Outer Banks Day & Night Photo Tour on May 11-14.
I’m currently building the websites for the new events and making final plans for everything. Registrations should be open in late October or early November. The best way to know as soon as registration opens is to click on the Contact page and sign up for my email list. Or you can keep checking back to this page of the website.
